Directly at the first battery change, the lid of the battery compartment broke. It appears to be a more or less common issue.
I contacted the fantastic ETI support and asked for a replacement. They managed it to send me a new lid from UK to Germany within 3 days.
To get the new enhanced lid suitable some minor changes are needed.
